Family heirloom from West Virginia. The origin of the seeds is Italian, named after "Tappy" who selected its regular shape.
Large reddish-pink fruit of 300 to 500 grams, of beefsteak type whose regular shape is heart-shaped but often the fruit is deformed especially when the size is important.
Fleshy flesh containing few seeds. Exceptional flavor.
Vigorous plant with great development, regular foliage, indeterminate growth.
Mid-season production. Variety afraid of heat.
