A heirloom variety originating in Belgium. Developed in 1930 at the Vilvoorde horticultural school in the suburbs of Brussels, it is named after the gardener who in 1848 was the first to grow a tomato in a greenhouse in Belgium.
Red fruit weighing 100 to 200 grams, round with a slight flattened tendency. Clusters of 4 to 6 units.
Juicy flesh. Good fruity and sweet taste.
Large plant well adapted to the second half of the season.
Well suited to cool summer and/or short season regions.
