Very old heirloom variety, introduced in 1892 by Peter Henderson, Seedsman, Nebraska, USA.

Red beefsteak type fruit, 200 to 400 grams, sometimes much more, round, slightly flattened, with more or less ribbed and rounded shoulders, the larger the fruit size.
Flesh of red beef, firm and dense. Multi-logged with few seeds. Typical old tomato flavour.
Very large plant with good production in the second half of the season.
