Very old heirloom variety, pre-Columbian, originating in Mexico.
Fruit weighs 250 to 450 grams, more or less flattened, ribbed at the top and with rounded shoulders, the larger the size. Two-tone orange-yellow and red skin.
Flesh of yellow beef with red marbling, juicy with an excellent flavour.
Large, potato-like foliage, indeterminate growth.
Very good and regular production until the first frost, +/-80-85 days.
Rather disease resistant variety that performs well in cooler areas.
