This variety originates from Spain. There are two spellings: "Balabre" and "Baladre" which refer to the same variety.
Large purple-pink fruit weighing 250 to 500 grams, flattened and more or less strongly ribbed on its upper half. The skin is smooth and thin, quite delicate.
Fleshy and very juicy beefy flesh with many seeds, 6/7 compartments. Pleasant old-fashioned tomato flavour.
