Heirloom native to the region of Puebla, Mexico.
Block-type fruit of triangular shape 10 to 15 centimeters long and 5 to 8 centimeters wide at the shoulders.
Ripens from purplish green to reddish brown almost black.
Very thick-walled flesh. "Up" heat: +/-1500 SHU.
Multiple uses: stuffed, baking, dried. (nb: once dried they are called "Ancho Chili").
Plant up to 0.80 meter, multi-stem.
