A very old variety from Salzer Seed Co of La Crosse, Visconti, USA, in circulation since at least 1918 under the name "Salzer's new Wonder" and distributed under its present name since 1930.
The fruit is smooth, dark pink, 150-250 grams, round, flattened and discreetly ribbed at the top. Deep depression at the peduncular attachment.
Flesh with a good aromatic flavour.
Good production in the second half of the season.
