Russian origin. Large orange fruit of 300 to 500 grams, round, slightly flattened beefsteak type.

Russian commercial variety bred by Seedfest, 1988. Named after Count Alexeis Orlov, a famous Russian horticulturist and war hero.
Large orange fruit weighing 300 to 500 grams and +/- 10 cm in diameter, round, slightly flattened beefsteak type with more or less rounded and ribbed shoulders.
Juicy orange beef flesh, multiloges, small, containing a thick gel. Excellent, sweet and balanced flavour on a par with its cousin "Yellow Brandywine".
A large growing plant with generous seasonal production and potato like foliage.
Naturally adapted to cool summer and/or short season regions.
