Old variety already mentioned in 1912 in the French magazine "la conserve alimentaire".
The fruit is red to pink in colour, weighing 150 to 180 grams, sometimes more, and is variable in shape. The same plant can produce heart-shaped or round fruits.
The flesh is dark red, juicy but consistent with many seeds, and has a good old-fashioned tomato flavour.
NB: there is a variety called "Monkey ass" which some say could be the same. According to TatianaTomatobase this variety produces only heart-shaped, pink and larger fruits.
