A heirloom variety from Italy brought to the US by an immigrant family in New York. Donated to the Seed Savers Yearbook in 2005 by Nancy Kirch who discovered it in a New York State nursery and introduced to the public in 2008.
Bright red, elongated plum-shaped fruit weighing 100 to 150 grams. Double fruits up to 250 grams are common.
Fleshy and very juicy, ideal for making coulis, very good flavour.
