Commercial variety from Siberia, introduced to the West under its translated name 'King of giants', listed in the 2007 Seed Saver Yearbook.
Red fruit weighing 300-500 grams, some up to 1 kg. Beef steak type, round, slightly flattened, with a more or less pronounced ribbing at the top and rounded shoulders.
Full, fleshy and juicy beef. Excellent flavour with more bitterness than sweetness.
Large, even foliage, indeterminate growth.
Good mid-season production, early for a tomato of this size!
Well adapted to poor weather conditions, both cool and wet.
