Variety originating from the Philippines, registered in the Seed Saver yearbook of 2003.

Fruit weighs +/- 100 grams and is usually round and smooth, but can also be slightly flattened and ribbed at the top.

Skin mahogany, brown with green shoulders.

Juicy, thick-walled flesh with lots of gel and seeds. Pleasant flavour with a hint of bitterness.

Large plant, regular foliage, indeterminate growth.

Good mid-season production.

It is believed that this variety is responsible for the introduction of the gene that gave rise to the black, purple and brown lines.
