Commercial variety originating from Russia. Developed by the Siberian Research Plant Breeding Institute. Presented at the Seed Savers Yearbook 2008 by Andrey Baranovski. Danko is a hero from a Russian legend written by Gorki.
Red fruit of 150 to 300 grams more or less heart-shaped with a hint of rippling at the top. Deep depression at the peduncular attachment.
Fleshy and firm beefy flesh. Delicious flavour.
Compact plant with determined growth and wispy foliage.
