Recent variety developed by Tom Wagner, USA. Pomehana means "hot love" in Hawaiian, which gives us "hot love apple" if we translate its name completely. Tom Wagner says: "Pohema apple is a play on words, just like her, she plays on our taste buds". The selection work for this variety goes back more than 20 years, and it comes from a line of "Green Grape Pineapple" in F2.
Small, heart-shaped fruit, 6 cm in diameter, pink with two-coloured flesh: orange/yellow with a red stripe, very aromatic and fruity taste.
