Variety originating from France. Featured in the 1992 Seed Savers Yearbook.
Orange-yellow fruit turning pink at maturity in warm, sunny weather. Cherry-like, round, +/- 15 grams. Huge "multiflora" type flower clusters. Clusters of +/-8 units arranged in a fishbone pattern.
Juicy flesh with a sweet but also tangy taste.
Vigorous plant with great development.
Abundant production, can be early.
Note that there is a variety: "Mirabelle blanche" also of the cherry type but pale yellow/cream.
